Showtime has debuted the new trailer for its highly-anticipated comedy series “Roadies,” the first original series from creator, executive producer, writer and director Cameron Crowe. Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall and Keisha Castle-Hughes lead the one-hour music series which will premiere June 26th on air, on demand and online. “Roadies” is currently in production on ten episodes in Los Angeles.
Following the series premiere this past Sunday on AMC, the network has released the full episode online with a commentary track by directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg regarding the episode and adapting the comic for television. Hulu and ITV are teaming on a straight-to-series order for drama series “Harlots”. Set in the world of the 18th century London sex trade, the ongoing eight-part series will air on ITV Encore in the U.K. and stream exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu.
Samantha Morton,, Lesley Manville and Jessica Brown Findlay will lead the cast with Morton playing a woman struggling to reconcile her roles as mother and brothel owner. Franka Potente (“The Bridge,” “The Bourne Identity”) has booked a recurring role on the second season of Syfy’s space opera “Dark Matter”. The show follows six people who wake up on a derelict spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got onboard.
Potente will play the calculated and determined Commander Shaddick, Chief Inspector of the Galactic Authority Serious Crimes Division. She is determined to prove the crew of the Raza were involved in the destruction of Iriden 3. [Source: Deadline]
