The Punisher
In a recent interview, Irish director Dearbhla Walsh revealed that she directed an episode for Netflix’s new Marvel series “The Punisher” just before Christmas last year.

More importantly, she added that her episode is not airing until November which would suggest an October or November launch of the series on the streaming giant. Netflix has yet to officially announce a launch date for the series. [Source: THR]

CBS
CBS has announced the premiere dates for their Fall shows with the week starting Monday September 25th through to the following Monday October 2nd seeing the launch of five new shows bar “S.W.A.T.” which will start later – kicking off on November 2nd. [Source: Variety]

Riverdale
Skeet Ulrich has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season of the CW’s “Riverdale”. Ulrich plays the mysterious FP Jones who is the father of Jughead (Cole Sprouse).

Ulrich was recurring across seven episodes of the first season of the Archie Comics-themed drama. Ulrich is currently shooting Ryan Murphy’s “Versace: American Crime Story” for FX. [Source: Deadline]

The Happiness Machine
IM Global Television has reportedly optioned Katie Williams’ soon-to-be-published science fiction drama “The Happiness Machine” with plans to develop it as a TV series. “Cake” screenwriter Patrick Tobin will pen the adaptation

The action is set in a world where a device called Apricity can read DNA and determine, with nearly perfect accuracy, what someone needs to do to be happy. The story explores how the lives of a number of characters are affected by this new science. [Source: Deadline]
