Penny Dreadful
Showtime has pushed back the second season premiere of “Penny Dreadful” by a week with the ten episode second season now premiering on May 3rd. Helen McCrory returns as Evelyn Poole (aka Madame Kali) who serves as the main antagonist for the season. [Source: Variety]

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The second half of the second season of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” debuts on March 3rd with the midseason premiere episode “Aftershocks”. Marvel has released a new trailer for the episode, and it does include spoilers from December’s midseason finale.

Meanwhile it has also been revealed the following episode on March 10th will see the return of Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, albeit one with amnesia. Her appearance is expected to add a bit of “much-needed humor” to the otherwise dark and serious storyline.

Vice Principals
“Justified” star Walton Goggins has nabbed the co-lead in HBO’s straight-to-series comedy “Vice Principals”. Shea Whigham (“Boardwalk Empire”) has also scored a supporting role in the project which comes from the creators of “Eastbound & Down” and already has an eighteen-episode straight-to-series.

Danny McBride plays a divorced vice principal in charge of discipline at a high school, with Whigham to play the new husband of his ex-wife. Goggins will play the vice principal of curriculum at the school and a conniving politician that enters into an unholy alliance with McBride’s character. [Source: THR]

Curse of the Fuentes Women
“The Following” scene stealer Adan Canto has scored the male lead in NBC’s drama pilot “Curse of the Fuentes Women” from “Ugly Betty” producer Silvio Horta.

Canto plays a mysterious stranger who washes up on Miami Beach and comes into the lives of the Fuentes women, reviving a link to a magical past. He’s the first cast member to have signed on. [Source: Variety]

HBO has unveiled the first promo clip for the second season of their acclaimed comedy “Silicon Valley” which returns April 12th, and the trailer for their new comedy “Happyish” starring Steve Coogan which debuts April 26th.
