Trevor Noah: Afraid of the Dark
“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah will premiere his next comedy special on Netflix starting February 21st. “Trevor Noah: Afraid of the Dark” marks the eighth standup special for the comedian.

The special joins the ever increasing list of stand-up comedy specials for the streamer such as Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld with the latter recently closing a deal to do more “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” episodes exclusively for Netflix. [Source: Instagram]

Queer Eye For The Straight Guy
Netflix has announced that a reboot of Bravo’s 2003 makeover series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” is on the way for the streaming service to begin production this Spring.

Eight episodes of the reboot have been ordered with “Queer Eye” co-creators David Collins and Michael Williams back as executive producers. There is no casting information as yet. [Source: Deadline]

Mr. Mercedes
Mary-Louise Parker has scored a recurring role in Audience Network’s “Mr. Mercedes” series based on the novel by Stephen King and scheduled to premiere this Fall. Parker will play Janey Patterson, the younger sister of the late Olivia Trelawney.

David E. Kelley is behind the adaptation which follows a demented killer (Harry Treadaway) who taunts a retired police detective (Brendan Gleeson) with a series of lurid letters and emails. This forces the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again. [Source: The Live Feed]

A bunch of new promos today including the first fifth season trailer for “The Americans,” a featurette for Netflix’s “Santa Clarita Diet,” and the trailer for Lifetime’s telemovie “Britney Ever After” starring Natasha Bassett in the role of the pop princess.
