Frank Darabont’s noir crime drama “Mob City” on TNT opened to modest ratings Wednesday night, a 0.6 rating and 2.29 million viewers over its first two hours. In comparison, this week’s episode of TNT’s “Major Crimes” scored a 0.7 rating and 4.21 million viewers. [Source: Variety]

Mozart in the Jungle
Gael Garcia Bernal, Malcom McDowell, Lola Kirke, Saffron Burrows, Peter Vack, Hannah Dunne and Bernadette Peters are set to star in the TV pilot “Mozart in the Jungle” for Amazon’s Prime Instant Video and LOVEFiLM service.

The pilot showcases what happens behind the curtains at the New York classical music symphony, a den of sex, drugs and vice that can be just as captivating as what happens on stage. The pilot will debut early next year. [Source: Market Watch]

Netflix’s first original series, the comedy “Lilyhammer” is closing in on a greenlight for a third season. Norwegian broadcaster NRK is in the final stages of negotiations with Rubicon TV for a new season with Netflix remaining as the U.S. broadcaster.

The series follows a mob fixer exiled to Norway in a witness protection program. Netflix partnered on the first two series and has a deal in place for additional seasons. The second season kicks off on the service next week. [Source: Deadline]

Club Life Miami
John Singleton and Russell Simmons are developing the drama “Club Life: Miami” at HBO. Singleton will write and executive produce the project.
