Carol Burnett is set to reprise her role of Theresa Stemple, the mother of Helen Hunt’s Jamie Buchman, in the “Mad About You” revival at Spectrum. Burnett will be back in a guest-starring capacity, though it’s not yet clear if she will appear in more than one episode of the twelve-episode limited event series. Amazon Studios has begun development of “Bone White,” a Fox 21 TV Studios drama based on Ronald Malfi’s novel. Warren Littlefield executive produces. Written by C. Henry Chaisson (“Antlers”) based on Malfi’s novel, a telepathic distress call from his estranged twin brother jolts a man – an agoraphobic professor – out of his humdrum existence and journeys deep into the Alaskan wilderness to uncover a vast supernatural mystery with the help of an intrepid police investigator. FX has renewed “Mayans MC” for a third season, the order comes ahead of the second season finale set to air on Tuesday. In addition, series co-creator and executive producer Elgin James will serve as the sole showrunner for the third season airing Fall 2020. Based on Alissa Nutting’s novel, the story follows Hazel Green (Cristin Milioti), a thirtysomething woman on the run after ten years in a suffocating marriage to an unstable, needy, possibly sociopathic tech CEO billionaire named Byron (Magnussen).
