Legends of Tomorrow
Actress Olivia Swann has been promoted to a series regular for the fifth season of “Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW. Swann guest-starred last season the Hell-residing adult version of Astra Logue, the young child whom was sent to hell after John Constantine’s failed exorcism.
This time out, she’ll serve as the main villain of the new season which ended with the souls of numerous villains being unleashed upon the world. “Legends of Tomorrow” is currently expected to return next year on The CW. [Source: CBM]
Former “Beverly Hills 90210” star Shannen Doherty and “Dawson’s Creek” actor Kerr Smith will join the cast of The CW’s “Riverdale” for its upcoming fourth season. Doherty will guest star in the season premiere episode which serves as a tribute to the late Luke Perry. Her role is said to be a “pivotal, super-emotional” one.
Smith meanwhile will take on the recurring role of Riverdale High’s new principal Mr. Honey, dubbed a “hard-ass who takes a harder line with the students this year, especially with the seniors”. He’ll start appearing from the second episode. [Source: Variety]
AMC has renewed “NOS4A2” for a ten-episode second season, the news announced at the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con ahead of the first season finale. The story centers on Vic McQueen (Ashley Cummings), a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things which puts her on a collision course with Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto), a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children. The Good Fight
It was expected but now it’s confirmed, Rose Leslie will not return to her role of lawyer Maia Rindell on the CBS All Access drama “The Good Fight” for its forthcoming fourth season which will arrive in 2020. Creators Robert and Michelle King told the media outlet that Season 3’s finale was Leslie’s swan song. She was last seen leaving for Washington, DC to launch a new firm with Michael Sheen’s Roland Blum. [Source: Deadline]
