TV News: Law, Ghost, Lantern, Nova

Despite talk of them being potentially resurrected at other networks, both NBC’s original “Law and Order” and CBS’ “Ghost Whisperer” will not be spared the axe.

Cable network TNT was rumoured to be pursuing the cancelled ‘Law’, but a spokesman for the network told The LA Times that they are “not in current talks, and we are not interested.”

Meanwhile there was speculation that ABC was looking into picking up ‘Ghost’ as it co-produces the drama, but the network has officially confirmed it will NOT be acquiring the show.

Green Lantern

Cartoon Network is developing a new animated TV series based on the “Green Lantern” comics. The series is expected to premiere after the upcoming live-action film which is scheduled for a June 17th 2011 release.

Terra Nova

Alex Graves (“Fringe”) has been hired to direct the pilot for Steven Spielberg’s high-concept mid-season sci-fi drama “Terra Nova” reports Hollywood Insider.

Filming on the 13-episode first season of the elaborate series kicks off in Australia at the end of the summer.
