Top of the Lake
Following its acclaimed run in 2013, filmmaker Jane Campion is re-teaming with writer Gerard Lee and production company See-Saw to develop a second series of the critically-acclaimed “Top of the Lake”.

Campion and Garth Davis helmed the six-episode mini-series which aired in 2013. The drama starred Elisabeth Moss as a detective investigating the disappearance of a pregnant twelve-year-old girl. Moss won a Golden Globe for her performance. [Source: Screen]

Manhattan
WGN America has renewed its well-reviewed atomic bomb drama “Manhattan” for a second season. The series averaged 420,000 total viewers on Sundays at 10 p.m. through its first 11 episodes. WGN America has also presold Manhattan for a second window on Hulu Plus. [Source: The Live Feed]

Game of Thrones
Watchers on the Wall have posted up new photos of filming on the fifth season of “Game of Thrones” in Seville, Spain. Actors Nell Tiger Free, DeObia Oparei, Indira Varma and Toby Sebastian were spotted on set and in costume filming shooting scenes.

Sebastian plays young prince Trystane Martell, Oparei plays Martell family bodyguard Areo Hotah. Varma reprises the role of Ellaria Sand she played in the fourth season.

Ransom
eOne TV, TF1 and Shaw Media are developing the drama series “Ransom”. David Vainola and “The X-Files” scribe Frank Spotnitz co-created and will serve as executive producers.

The procedural drama is based on the life of Laurent Combalbert, a renowned crisis negotiator who travels the globe handling international crisis from hostage negotiations to kidnappings. He travels with a team that includes a computer hacker, a therapist and black belt. [Source: THR]

South of Hell
Mena Suvari is finalizing a deal to play the lead in WE tv’s eight-episode, straight-to-series supernatural thriller “South Of Hell” which Jason Blum (“The Purge”) and Eli Roth (“Hostel”) are producing.

Set in South Carolina, Suvari plays a demon-hunter-for-hire named Maria whose power stems from within. Specifically a demon named Abigail who resides inside of her and feeds on the evil Maria exorcises from others. [Source: Deadline]
