TV News: Jackie, Cancellations, Kline

Nurse Jackie
Showtime’s dark comedy had a second season premiere combined rating of 1.521 million. That’s up 13% on the season one premiere and 19% on the season one finale says The Futon Critic.

Zach Braff has confirmed via his Facebook page that the long running comedy series “Scrubs” is officially over. In a posting Braff says “it appears that “New Scrubs”, “Scrubs 2.0”, “Scrubs with new kids”, “Scrubbier”, “Scrubs without JD” is no more. It was worth a try, but alas… it didn’t work”

Actor Brad Garrett tells Zap2It that struggling comedy “‘Til Death” has been axed, news which FOX later officially confirmed.

One not getting the axe is Ricky Gervais. The British comedian’s popular podcast turned animated HBO series “The Ricky Gervais Show” has been renewed for a second season despite poor ratings says Reuters.
