AMC and Channel 4 have renewed the sci-fi series “Humans” for a ten episode third season which will air in 2018.

Set in a parallel present, Humans examines what happens when the line between human and machine becomes blurred. The renewal comes a week after the season two finale aired stateside. [Source: The Live Feed]

Louis Herthum has been upgraded to a series regular for the second season of HBO’s “Westworld”. Herthum plays Peter Abernathy, the father of Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood).

Herthum’s host character was introduced as a recurring guest star in six episodes of the first season. Herthum marks the second such casting ‘upgrade’ for the new season following a similar arrangement for Talulah Riley. [Source: Deadline]

American Horror Story
“Billy on the Street” host Billy Eichner is set to recur on the upcoming seventh season of the FX anthology series “American Horror Story”.

Details about Eichner’s role are kept under wraps. He joins confirmed returning castmembers Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters. The upcoming season is set to premiere later this year and will focus on last year’s presidential election. [Source: The Live Feed]

Thank You For Smoking
NBC is reportedly developing an anthology TV series based on Jason Reitman’s 2006 dark comedy feature “Thank You For Smoking”.

Aaron Eckhart starred in the original as a smooth-talking, big tobacco lobbyist who tried to protect the tobacco companies from government sanctions. The series will break away from that with one social issue each season with gun control the topic of the first. [Source: Variety

Netflix has released a new trailer for Louis C.K.’s new stand-up special which premieres exclusively on the service from April 4th. In the special, the “Louie” star “muses on religion, eternal love, giving dogs drugs, email fights, teachers and more in a live performance from Washington, D.C.”
