American Horror Story: Apocalypse
Producer Ryan Murphy has posted on Twitter the first photo of Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott back on the set of “American Horror Story” for the upcoming eighth season ‘Apocalypse’. The pair are joined by Sarah Paulson in the photo as Paulson is sitting in the director’s seat for an episode this season.

The new season will serve as a crossover between Season 1 (Murder House) and Season 3 (Coven) with effectively all the key cast from both seasons returning, including actors who played different roles in both seasons like Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga. The Walking Dead
“Sons of Anarchy” scene-stealer Ryan Hurst has been cast in the recurring guest role of Beta in the upcoming ninth season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” which premieres in October

Beta is second-in-command to Samantha Morton’s Alpha, the leader of The Whisperers which serve as antagonists this season. Hurst is one of several new characters arriving next year. [Source: The Wrap]

Samantha Mathis (“Under the Dome”) has joined the fourth season of Showtime’s “Billions” in a season-long arc. Mathis will play Sara Hammon, the new COO of Taylor Mason Capital.

Hammon is brought on board by Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon) to help run the newly formed company and protect it, and the few billion dollars in capital Axe thought was headed his way which Taylor acquired, from the aggression of Axe (Damian Lewis). [Source: The Live Feed]

My Dad Wrote A Porno
HBO has announced plans to adapt the hit British comedy podcast “My Dad Wrote A Porno” into a comedy special for the network to air in 2019. The podcast has been downloaded more than 100 million times since its launch in 2015.

The podcast stars Jamie Morton who reads aloud a chapter from the ‘Belinda Blinked’ series of erotic novels, written by his real-life father under the nom de plume Rocky Flintstone. His friends James Cooper and Alice Levine provide commentary during the reading. [Source: HBO]

Story of a Crime
Netflix has announced the true crime anthology series “The Story of a Crime”. The series will deal with controversial crimes that have shaken different countries for decades and which generated social confusion, accusations of corruption and more.

The first season will deal with Luis Donaldo Colosio, the politician and Mexican presidential candidate who was killed in a campaign event in Tijuana in 1994. Filming began this week in Mexico City ahead of a 2019 debut. [Source: Coming Soon]

Stephen Amell has premiered the new key art for the upcoming seventh season of The CW’s “Arrow” which sees Amell’s Oliver Queen in prison. Oliver finds himself facing some of the rogues he already locked up and who are seeking retribution, along with the Longbow Hunters – a group of assassins recruited by Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) to exact his revenge on Oliver. The new season premieres October 15th.
