In the wake of multiple cast members sharing the news late last year, CBS has now officially confirmed that the Melissa McCarthy-led sitcom “Mike and Molly” has been canceled. The final season will wrap up this spring after thirteen already-shot episodes have aired. [Source: Variety]

Major Crimes
Serving as essentially the antagonist of the seventh season of “The Closer,” actor Curtis Armstrong (“Supernatural”) will reprise his role as attorney Peter Goldman in a multiple-episode arc on the TNT drama spin-off series “Major Crimes”.

Goldman will first appear in the February 15th winter premiere and has his sights set on Capt. Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and Assistant Chief Russell Taylor (Robert Gossett) for their seeming indifference to murder in gangland communities. [Source: The Live Feed]

The Good Wife
Robert and Michelle King, creators of the long-running and acclaimed CBS series “The Good Wife,” are set to leave their position as showrunners after the conclusion of current seventh season. Although the series has yet to be renewed for an eighth season, a pickup seems likely.

The Kings will remain at the network though, the pair currently at work on the political comic-thriller “BrainDead” which will air thirteen episodes over the Summer and follows a young Washington staffer who realises brain-eating aliens have begun to infect Congress. [Source: Variety]
