TV News: Flash, Five-O, Mildred, Rockford

Sci-Fi Wire reports that English actor James Callis, best known as Gaius Baltar on “Battlestar Galactica”, has scored a major role in several episodes at the end of the first season of “FlashForward”.

Character details are unspecified beyond his being a key element in Olivia’s subplot.

Hawaii Five-O
Callis isn’t the only former ‘Galactica’ actor getting work. Grace Park, aka Lt. Sharon “Boomer” Valerii, has joined the cast of CBS’ remake of “Hawaii Five-O”. Park will play Kona Kalakaua, niece of Chin Ho Kelly (“Lost” star Daniel Dae Kim), and champion surfer who is about to graduate from the police academy when Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) recruits her to join his team says The Hollywood Reporter.

Mildred Pierce
Production Weekly reports that Guy Pearce and Evan Rachel Wood will join Kate Winslet in the HBO miniseries which shoots in New York City throughout April and May.

The Rockford Files
Dermot Mulroney is in talks for the role of Jim Rockford, the iconic private eye in NBC’s remake of 70’s James Garner series “The Rockford Files” says The Hollywood Reporter. “House” creator David Shore and actor/comedian Steve Carrell will produce.
