Zoe’s Extraordinary Playlist
Mary Steenburgen has been cast in NBC’s musical dramedy pilot “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”. Jane Levy plays Zoe who is suddenly able to hear the innermost thoughts of people around her as songs and even big musical numbers that they perform just for her.

With this new ability at her disposal, she is able to use her ‘gift’ to not only help herself understand people in her life, but also to help others around her. Steenburgen will play Maggie, Zoey’s mother. Richard Shepard will direct the pilot. [Source: Variety]

NBC has picked up all three of Dick Wolf’s “Chicago” shows for next season. NBC moved the three shows to Wednesday nights this season to form a single programming block that has proved a winner in total viewers each night they’ve aired original episodes. Amy Schumer: Growing
Netflix has released the trailer for “Amy Schumer: Growing,” the comedian’s new special which will premiere on the streamer on March 19th. In the special, she reflects on her current experience as a newlywed going through her first pregnancy. The project was taped during some recent performances in Chicago.

Ashleigh LaThrop (“Siren”), Desmin Borges (“You’re the Worst”), Farrah Mackenzie (“Ascension”) and Christopher Denham (“Billions”) have joined the cast of Amazon’s straight-to-series adaptation of the British cult hit “Utopia” being penned by Gillian Flynn.

The story follows a group of young adults who meet online that are mercilessly hunted by a shadowy deep state organization after they come into possession of a near-mythical cult underground graphic novel that accurately predicts world events before they happen. Sasha Lane, Rainn Wilson, Dan Byrd and Cory Michael Smith also star. [Source: Deadline]
