From Dusk Til Dawn
The El Rey Network has premiered the first photo from “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” which debuts this Spring. The photo shows Seth (D.J. Cotrona) and Richie Gecko (Zane Holtz) as they prepare for their Abeline bank heist.

Robert Rodriguez explains the difference between the series and movie: “We see things that led up to events in the film, and much deeper character motivations and storylines to sort of launch into the new story that we’re doing. The film was a short story. This is the novel version.” [Source: Facebook]

NBC has announced premiere dates for its five upcoming midseason series. The comedy “About a Boy” (based on the Hugh Grant film) will premiere on Tuesday February 25th at 9pm, followed immediately after by the sitcom “Growing Up Fisher” starring J.K. Simmons and Jenna Elfman.

Alfonso Cuarón and J.J. Abrams’ “Believe” premieres Sunday March 16th at 9pm, followed immediately after by suspense thriller “Crisis” starring Gillian Anderson and Dermot Mulroney. The following Sunday, reality series “American Dream Builders” debuts at 8pm. [Source: NBC]

The Assets
ABC has cancelled new drama series “The Assets: after two episodes. “Shark Tank” encores will replace it effective January 16th.

The series debuted to a 0.7 rating, the smallest drama premiere in the history of the major four networks. The second week fell to a 0.6 rating and 2.92 million viewers. [Source: The Live Feed]

Untitled Q-Tip Project
Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Q-Tip and “The Wolf of Wall Street” co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are teaming to develop a scripted TV series that Appian Way will produce.

The series will be loosely based on Q-Tip’s experience with The Native Tongues collective which Q-Tip’s band A Tribe Called Quest was a member of. The collective brought together late 1980s and early 1990s hip-hop artists. [Source: Rolling Stone]

Untitled Chevy Chase Project
The original stars of National Lampoon’s “Vacation” franchise – Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo – are reuniting for a single-camera comedy project which has scored a production commitment by ABC.

The pair play a couple finally enjoying their golden years who are forced to raise their grandchildren due to unforeseen circumstances. The project is being eyed for a debut during the 2015-16 TV season. [Source: TV Guide]
