TV News: Dracula, Clear, Assets, Road

NBC has unveiled a surprisingly blood-soaked trailer, set to Depeche Mode music, for their upcoming new series take on Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”. The show goes to air in October.

Clear History
The Larry David-led, Greg Mottola-directed HBO telemovie “Clear History” has been set for a premiere date on August 10th.

Jon Hamm, Bill Hader, Philip Baker Hall, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton, Danny McBride, Eva Mendes, Amy Ryan and J.B. Smoove also star. [Source: Deadline]

The Assets
ABC has secured the small-screen rights to Sandra Grimes and Jeanne Vertefeuille’s book “Circle of Treason”. The project, which will be titled “The Assets,” will air in 2014.

The series will explore CIA members’ personal stories about the conclusion of the Cold War. [Source: THR]

The Red Road
Filmmaker James Gray (“Two Lovers,” “We Own the Night”) will direct the first episode of Sundance Channel’s original scripted series “The Red Road” starring Jason Momoa.

The series has been picked up for six one-hour episodes which are being penned by Aaron Guzikowski (“Contraband,” ‘Prisoners”). The story revolves around a local cop struggling to keep his family together while simultaneously policing two clashing communities. [Source: Zap2It]
