Doctor Who
“There are fixed points through time where things must always stay the way they are… this is not one of them, this is an opportunity”, thus kicks off “Cold Blood”, the second episode of a two-parter airing this weekend in the UK which sees the return of the classic series race The Silurians.

Photos and the trailer for the episode in which the advanced prehistoric reptilian civilisation plans to take back the planet’s surface from ‘the apes’ have emerged.

The first photos and new details have also emerged about the remaining few episodes of the season including the final two-parter “The Pandorica Opens” over at Life, DW & Combom.

The finale ties in with the tenth episode “Vincent and The Doctor” where a Van Gogh painting contains a disturbing prophecy. In the finale The Doctor visits 102 A.D. England where Romans receive a surprise visit from Cleopatra and nearby Stonehenge conceals the Pandorica.

So what is it? River Song describes it in the episode as “A bog, a cage, a prison, it was built to contain the most feared in all the universe” and now it is slowly unlocking. Meanwhile terrible forces gather in the heavens above, the cracks in time grow, the silence will fall and somehow Amelia Pond’s bedroom will tie everything together.

Actor Michael Emerson tells G4 that the upcoming ‘Complete Series’ box-set will include a 12-14 minute scene between the time when Hurley became the island’s protector and the end of the series.

Emerson says “you could call it an epilogue… it’s self-contained, although it’s a rich period in the show’s mythology that ‘s never been explored.”

EW reports that Julia Stiles is in final talks for a top-secret role in the upcoming fifth season, but it will not be as a villain.

Showrunner Chip Johannessen also says the show is “not going to have a single Big Bad this season. We don’t want to try and top John Lithgow, so we’re going to change up the forces that Dexter’s going to be dealing with.”
