The second season premiere of HBO’s “True Detective” drew 3.2 million viewers in Live+Same Day ratings, a 36% increase over the first season’s opener (2.3 million). It also marked the drama’s second most-watched episode to date behind only the first season’s finale.
It wasn’t the only success for HBO on Sunday with the Dwayne Johnson-led “Ballers” scoring 2.2 million viewers, marking the network’s best half-hour show launch in six years. War comedy “The Brink” didn’t score as high with 1.6 million viewers. [Source: TV Line]
The Walking Dead
AMC has unveiled the first artwork for the sixth season of the zombie drama “The Walking Dead” ahead of the show’s Comic Con Panel on July 10th. Actors Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James and Sonequa Martin-Green will all be on hand for the Hall H panel which “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick is on board to moderate. Hulu has partnered with Showtime to launch the premium cable network’s streaming service in July. Starting next month, Hulu subscribers will have the option to add Showtime to their Hulu subscription and stream on most internet-connected devices.
This will be the first premium service to be offered on Hulu. Showtime’s service is also coming directly to Apple TV, Roku and PlayStation Vue. [Source: The Wrap]

Netflix have unveiled the full trailer for “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp,” the follow-up/prequel series to the cult feature film comedy, which hits the streaming service on July 31st. Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Christopher Meloni, H. Jon Benjamin and Molly Shannon are all back alongside new additions that include Chris Pine, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Jason Schwartzman, Michaela Watkins, John Slattery, Josh Charles, Randall Park, Jayma Mays, Lake Bell, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel and Richard Schiff.
