Dead Boss
Fox has given a put-pilot commitment to a remake of the 2012 UK sitcom “Dead Boss”. Patricia Breen (“Surburgatory”) will pen the script, and the original show’s star Sharon Horgan will executive produce.

The series will follow a woman who has been wrongly convicted and imprisoned for killing her dead boss and who does her best to get along with the other inmates at a women’s prison. [Source: Yahoo UK]

USA Network has has renewed its freshman undercover agent drama “Graceland” for a second season. The show has averaged 4.3 million total viewers an episode, making it Summer’s top new scripted series on cable. [Source: The Live Feed]

Almost Human
Showrunner Naren Shankar (“Grimm,” “CSI”) has quit the Fox sci-fi drama “Almost Human” two months out from its premiere. The amicable departure is said to be due to creative differences.

Show creator Joel Wyman (“Fringe”) will now take over the role in Shankar’s absence. Karl Urban stars in the series as a human cop unwillingly teamed with an android partner (Michael Ealy). The series premieres November 4th. [Source: Digital Spy]

Duncan Lacroix (“Game of Thrones,” “Primeval”) has joined Ron Moore’s “Outlander” series on Starz.

Based on Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling series of books, the story followsa married WW2 nurse who mysteriously falls back in time to 1743. Seven books have been released in the series so far and have sold more than twenty million copies. [Source: The Live Feed]
