Book of Enchantment
Disney is reportedly preparing “Book of Enchantment,” a TV series based on the studio’s iconic villains, for its upcoming streaming service Disney+. Maniac Productions and ABC Signature Studios will produce.

Michael Seitzman (“Quantico,” “Code Black”) is set to pen the script which will be based on the book series by Serena Valentino which spotlights Disney villains like the Beast, Ursula and the witch from Snow White. [Source: The Live Feed]

Jane the Novela
Jacqueline Grace Lopez (“East Los High”) will star in “Jane the Novela,” a telenovela-inspired anthology series spin-off to The CW’s “Jane the Virgin”. Each season will be based on fictional novels “written by” Gina Rodriguez’s Jane Villanueva character with the first set at a Napa Valley vineyard, where family secrets (and family members) don’t stay buried for long. The Tick
Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for the second season of its comedy “The Tick” featuring Tick and Arthur returning to defend the City from new villains and old enemies. Peter Serafinowicz and Griffin Newman return for the new ten-episode season which will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on April 5th.

Lil Dicky
FX has ordered an untitled half-hour comedy series based on the life of the rapper and comedian Lil Dicky who will executive produce with Jeff Schaffer. The story is centered on a suburban neurotic man in his late twenties who has convinced himself that he’s destined to be one of the best rappers of all time. Now he must convince his closest friends, because with their help, he might actually convince the world. [Source: Variety]

Turn Up Charlie
Netflix has released the trailer today for the upcoming comedy series “Turn Up Charlie” starring Idris Elba as a struggling DJ and perennial bachelor who has one last chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a ‘manny’ to his famous best friend’s precocious young daughter Gabby (Frankie Hervey).

The little girl is wise beyond her years, but she’s been neglected by her career driven parents and likes to pushes boundaries. Piper Perabo and JJ Feild co-star with all eight episodes to premiere globally on Netflix on March 15th.
