Beverly Hills Cop
Actor-comedian Brandon T. Jackson (“Tropic Thunder”) has closed his deal for the lead role in CBS’s “Beverly Hills Cop” reboot. A pilot is expected to score the green light once “The Shield” creator Shawn Ryan delivers his script.

The series is a sequel to the films and centers on Axel’s blue-collar police officer son, Aaron (Jackson), who helps take down the criminal elements of Beverly Hills. Murphy will reprise his role as Axel in the pilot and will recur if it goes to series. [Source: Deadline]
