The Blacklist
NBC has revealed it is splitting the two-hour sixth season premiere of “The Blacklist” with the first hour to launch on Thursday January 3rd and the second hour on Friday January 4th. Subsequent episodes will air each Friday at 9pm. [Source: NBC]

Murder Mountain
Netflix has picked up the six-part, true-crime murder-mystery documentary series “Murder Mountain” from the team behind “Man on Wire” and “LA 92”. The story deals with a series of murders that took place in Humboldt County, California where there’s a thriving marijuana trade. Netflix will launch it globally on December 28th. [Source: Variety]

The Progeny
The CW has begun development of “The Progeny,” a drama based on Tosca Lee’s bestselling novel from writer Chris Roberts (“Orphan Black”) and filmmaker Edward Burns. Marlboro Road Gang Productions, Radar Pictures and CBS TV Studios are producing.

The story centers on a young amnesiac who discovers she’s a descendant of history’s greatest murderess, plunging her into a deadly underground war as she fights to stop a secret society that has preyed on her kind for centuries. [Source: Deadline]

Future Man
A promo trailer has been released for the second season of the Josh Hutcherson-led Hulu comedy series “Future Man”. Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir penned the script while Matt Tolmach executive produces the second season which begins January 11th.

The story follows a janitor by day and world-ranked gamer by night who is tasked with preventing the extinction of humans after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion.
