Syfy has acquired Canadian original scripted werewolf drama Bitten. The 13-episode drama will air in 2014.

Mad Men
Famed “Chinatown” screenwriter Robert Towne has joined the writing staff for the upcoming seventh and final season of AMC’s “Mad Men”.

Towne and Patricia Resnick (“Nine to Five”) are also onboard as consulting producers on the fourteen episodes which will be screened across 2014 and 2015. [Source: Variety]

True Blood
Bailey Noble’s recurring half-faerie Adilyn Bellefleur character on “True Blood” has been promoted to a series regular for the seventh and final season of the HBO drama

Noble is the daughter of Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) and faerie Maurella (Kristina Anapau), the sole remaining child of four after her siblings were killed by a vampire. [Source: The Live Feed]

Never Look Away
NBC is developing an untitled thriller/family drama based on Linwood Barclay’s novel “Never Look Away”. Matt Venne is penning the adaptation, while Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein will executive produce.

The story follows an award-winning journalist whose wife goes missing. His life is turned upside down as he discovers the truth about his wife, the town they live in, and even himself. [Source: Deadline]
