Starz has released the first official photo of Lucy Lawless in the upcoming “Ash Vs. Evil Dead” TV series which they talked up this week at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Asked about doing more movies, Sam Raimi said during the presentation: “I’d love to direct if Bruce is starring in it and Rob was producing it, yeah.”. [Source: Screen Rant]

Downton Abbey
PBS has announced a January 3rd 2016 U.S. premiere date for the final season of “Downton Abbey”. ‘Downton’ will also have a celebratory float at January’s Tournament of Roses parade to honor the show’s final bow. [Source: Variety]

Disney Channel’s “Descendants” telemovie, which explores the lives of the kids of the most infamous villains of their animated movies, pulled in a strong 6.6 million total viewers on Friday night. The movie also set a record with a further 1.4 million views on the WATCH Disney Channel app, and ranks as the top cable movie of 2015 amongst total viewers, Kids 2-11 and Tweens 9-14. Actor Grant Gustin has posted a photo of himself sporting his new outfit for the upcoming second season of The CW’s “The Flash” which returns October 6th. The costume features a new white background for the signature lightening bolt emblem on Barry’s chest – better matching the design from the comics.
