Alone Together
Freeform has cancelled its Lonely Island comedy series “Alone Together” after two seasons. The series starred Esther Povitsky and Benji Aflalo as platonic, contentious, dysfunctional co-dependent best friends who want nothing more than to be accepted by the vain and status-obsessed culture of Los Angeles. Chris D’Elia, Ginger Gonzaga, Edgar Blackmon and Nikki Glaser co-star. [Source: Deadline]

HBO has renewed the Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church-led comedy series “Divorce” for a shortened third season of six episodes to begin filming in early 2019. In addition, Liz Tuccillo will join the series as showrunner and executive producer, taking over for Jenny Bicks. [Source: Variety]

Anjelika Washington will join the cast of the new series “Stargirl” for the DC Universe digital subscription service. Washington will play a series regular, but specifics of her role are under wraps. “Stargirl” follows highschooler Courtney Whitmore as she and an unlikely group of heroes attempt to stop the villains of the past. The Flash
The Monitor won’t be the only antagonist of the upcoming ‘Elseworlds’ crossover of The CW’s DC shows this year, “The 100” actor Bob Frazer has joined the three-episode run as Roger Hayden (aka. Psycho-Pirate) who will be a part of “The Flash” episode. In the comics, the character has the power to manipulate people’s emotions by way of a gold Medusa Mask. In the episode, he’ll be introduced as an inmate of Arkham Asylum. [Source: EW]

History’s “Vikings” has unleashed an explosive trailer for the back half of its fifth season. Ragnar Lothbrok’s son King Ivar takes the throne and is a tyrant who begins a brutal reign even by viking standards, leaving brother Hvitserk taken aback. The new season will premiere Wednesday, November 28th.
