Producer Howard Gordon tells The Hollywood Reporter that Jack Bauer will meet an unhappy ending at the end of the series on May 24th.

Gordon says the final scene “leaves him in a compromised place morally, ethically and emotionally. This show is a tragedy, and to give Jack a happy ending didn’t feel authentic.”

As for the movie, Gordon says only that the writers are “taking him to a place he’s never been before.”

Lost
No less than three alternate endings that were shot for the upcoming series finale of “Lost” will be aired during the post-show Jimmy Kimmel special reports Gather.com. Details on any of the endings is top secret for now.
