Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Daniel Radcliffe has been set to co-star in the upcoming interactive film special of Netflix’s hit comedy series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of the characters, taking different story paths with resulting different jokes in what will serve as the final story within the series. Manhunt: Lone Wolf
Judith Light, Gethin Anthony and Jay O. Sanders will join Jack Huston, Cameron Britton and Carla Gugino in the second season of Spectrum Originals’ anthology series “Manhunt” from Lionsgate Television. Filming is underway in Pittsburgh.
The story will chronicle one of the largest and most complex manhunts on U.S. soil — the search for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics Bomber Eric Rudolph (Huston) – and the media firestorm that consumed the life of Richard Jewell (Britton) in its wake. Light plays Richard’s mother, Anthony plays the FBI lead agent in the manhunt, Sanders is a real estate lawyer who becomes Richard’s fiercest advocate. [Source: Deadline]
Ana Ortiz (“Devious Maids,” “Ugly Betty”) will star in the Disney+ TV series adaption of last year’s gay teen coming-of-age drama “Love, Simon”. The series will be based on a different character than the movie, and Ortiz will play said character’s mother. The project hails from “This Is Us” executive producers and co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger who wrote the movie. [Source: The Wrap]
I Am Not Okay With This
Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Sofia Bryant, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Aidan Wojtak-Hissong and Richard Ellis will lead the eight-episode young adult series “I Am Not Okay With This” for Netflix. Jonathan Entwistle and Christy Hall created the series.
Based on the Charles Forsman graphic novel, the story follows a teenage girl navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and mysterious superpowers that are beginning to awaken within her.
