Melissa George is set to recur opposite Andre Holland and Amandla Stenberg in Damien Chazelle’s upcoming contemporary eight-episode musical drama series “The Eddy” for Netflix. The project will be shot in France and feature dialogue in French, English and Arabic.
The story unfolds around a Parisian club, its owner (Holland), the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them. George will play Alison Jenkins, a sophisticated New Yorker, comes to visit her ex-husband (Holland) and daughter (Stenberg) in Paris, with complicated results. [Source: Deadline]
Jenna Coleman (“Doctor Who,” “Victoria”) will play Marie-Andree Leclerc, accomplice to French serial killer Charles Sobrhaj (Tahar Rahim), in the BBC and Netflix drama “The Serpent”. Ellie Bamber and Billy Howle also star with The BBC to launch the series in the U.K. while Netflix will carry it in the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Ritu Arya, Yusuf Gatewood and Marin Ireland are all set to join the currently in production second season of Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy,” the trio starring alongside regulars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min.
Arya (“Humans”) plays Lila, a chameleon who can be as brilliant or as insane as a situation requires. Gatewood (“Good Omens”) is Raymond, a born leader with smarts, gravitas, and confidence. Amanda Peet and Christian Slater are set to star in the second season of true-crime anthology series “Dirty John” at USA Network. Subtitled ‘The Betty Broderick Story,’ the new season will focus on an infamous divorce case that ended in a double homicide.
Peet plays Betty, a woman who sacrifices and suffers to support her husband through medical and law school. When he becomes a legal success, she’s happy until he hires a beautiful young intern and Betty’s attempts to fight back causes her to lose her identity. [Source: The Live Feed]
Joe Keery (“Stranger Things”) is set to guest star during the third season of the comedy series “No Activity” on CBS All Access. He will be joined by Beth Behrs, Keegan-Michael Key, Dylan McDermott and Paula Pell.
