Josh Gad and Zach Woods have joined the cast of HBO’s space comedy “Avenue 5” which hails from “Veep” creator Armando Iannucci. Gad plays billionaire Herman Judd who employs scientists to give him the answers he wants.

Elizabeth Anweis (“Twin Peaks: The Return”) has joined the “Batwoman” series on The CW. Anweis will play Catherine Hamilton-Kane, stepmother to lead character Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) and an antagonist.
In the series she is the second wife of Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and heiress to the Hamilton arms fortune. She’s dubbed a savvy, bullheaded defense contractor [and] one of Gotham’s most powerful residents. Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang, Luke Fox and Mary Hamilton co-star. Ramon Rodriguez (“Iron Fist,” “The Wire”) is set to join Malin Akerman and Mykelti Williamson in NBC’s legal drama pilot “Prism” where he will play Eduardo Guaty, a hard-hitting prosecutor. Daniel Barnz pens and directs the “Rashomon”-inspired story dubbed a provocative exploration of a murder trial in which every episode is told through the perspective of a different key person involved.
