Jon Cor (“Being Human”) has been cast as weapons trainer Hodge Starkweather in the upcoming ABC Family series “Shadowhunters” based on Cassandra Clare’s “The Mortal Instruments” books. Cor’s role is a recurring guest star.

Lori Loughlin, Bob Saget and John Stamos are all confirmed to be returning for Netflix’s “Fuller House,” the upcoming sequel revival of the classic sitcom “Full House”.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has joined the cast of Baz Luhrmann and Netflix’s 1970s hip-hop drama “The Get Down”. The story follows a rag-tag crew of South Bronx teenagers and is set against the backdrop of how New York gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco.
Abdul-Mateen will play the role of Cadillac, a ‘fly gangster’ and prince of the disco world who is the owner and proprietor of the most notorious after-hours night spot in the Bronx. He joins a cast that includes Jimmy Smits, Herizen Guardiola, Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, Skylan Brooks, Brown and Mamoudou Athie, with the latter playing Grandmaster Flash. [Source: The Live Feed]
Nazneen Contractor (“Covert Affairs”) has scored a recurring role in NBC’s upcoming event series “Heroes Reborn,” a follow-up to “Heroes” which that show’s creator/executive producer Tim Kring is returning for.
