“Turning,” “Dog,” “Bios” Set New Dates

Universal Pictures has revealed the release dates for three upcoming projects: DreamWorks Pictures’ “The Turning” on February 22nd 2019, Amblin Entertainment’s “A Dog’s Journey” on May 17th 2019, and Amblin Entertainment’s Tom Hanks-led “Bios” on October 2nd 2020.

“The Turning” is a new adaptation of Henry James’ novella “The Turning of the Screw”. A newly appointed nanny (Mackenzie Davis) at a mysterious estate in the Maine countryside takes charge of two disturbed orphans (Finn Wolfhard, Brooklyn Prince) and discovers that both the children and the house are harboring dark secrets and things may not be as they appear.

“A Dog’s Journey” is the sequel to “A Dog’s Purpose” and again follows a devoted dog who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love.

“Bios” stars Tom Hanks as Finch, the last man on Earth. An ailing inventor facing his own mortality, Finch builds a robot to keep his beloved dog safe. As the trio embarks upon an epic cross-country journey, the scientist must teach his creation to become ‘human’ enough to take care of his beloved pet.
