Disney Pictures is already moving forward with plans for a sequel to “Tron Legacy” says Heat Vision.
Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who penned the first film, are already at work on scripting the sequel and are “working on a way to round the story into a trilogy.”
No deals have been made with director Joseph Kosinski or the cast members to return, though sequel options were included in their deals for ‘Legacy’.
‘Legacy’, itself a sequel the original 1982 cult classic “Tron”, follows 27-year-old Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) looking into his father’s disappearance who finds himself pulled into the same cyberworld of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.
“Tron Legacy” opens in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theatres on December 17th.
