“Trip,” “Home,” “Venice,” “Sun” Set New Dates

The third installment of Michael Winterbottom’s “The Trip” series, “The Trip to Spain,” will open in the United States of August 11th. The IFC Films release starring Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, Marta Barrio and Claire Keelan will make its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 22nd.

In other release date news, Reese Witherspoon’s romantic comedy “Home Again” has been scheduled for a release date of September 8th by Open Road Films. Hallie Meyers-Shyer penned and helms the film.

Witherspoon plays a recently separated mother of two whose new life in Los Angeles is overturned when she decides to take in three young, charismatic guys (Pico Alexander, Nat Wolff, and Jon Rudnitsky) who become part of her unconventional family. Michael Sheen, Candice Bergen, and Lake Bell also star.

Next up, RLJ Entertainment has acquired all U.S. rights to the Bruce Willis action-comedy “Once Upon a Time in Venice” and has set a theatrical and VOD release on June 16th. John Goodman, Thomas Middleditch, Jason Momoa, Famke Janssen, Adam Goldberg, and Kal Penn star in the film in which Willis plays an L.A. detective who makes an alliance with his dog kidnappers.

Finally, the Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger-led romantic drama “Midnight Sun” has been given a September 8th release date following two quick date changes which has seen it pushed from mid-July.
