Trevorrow Won’t Helm Fifth “Jurassic”

Out doing press for “Jurassic World,” filmmaker Colin Trevorrow says that should Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures move forward with another film in the series, he will not be directing.

Trevorrow (“Safety Not Guaranteed”) directs the film which just had its world premiere in Paris and is slated to open at over $100 million at the domestic box office. Speaking with BadTaste, he says he’ll remain involved in the franchise even if he hands over the reins of the fifth film to someone else:

“Jurassic Park is like Star Wars. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie. I would be involved in some way, but not as director.”

“Jurassic World” hits cinemas on June 12th 2015.
