Trevante Rhodes Talks His “The Predator” Character

Trevante Rhodes made a name for himself overnight last year with his performance as the eldest Chiron in the Best Picture Oscar winning film “Moonlight”.

Since then he’s posed for CK underwear campaign, been rumored for DC’s “Green Lantern Corps.” film, and more recently joined the cast of Shane Black’s “The Predator” film which is currently in production.

In a new interview with Yahoo, Rhodes confirms that his character’s name is Nebraska Williams, a former marine who enlists in a special operation to hunt the Predator along with his friend Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook), who heads the elite force. Discussing the team, he says: “We form a bit of a motley crew. It’s what you expect a Shane Black move to be, set in the world of the Predator.”

Rhodes also admits he’s welcoming the chance to show range with a character almost diametrically opposed to his turn in “Moonlight”: “Chiron is so distant from the person I am. It’s important for me to distance myself from that so people can understand that was the character.”

Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Alfie Allen, Keegan-Michael Key and Jacob Tremblay also star in the new “The Predator” with Black releasing a new photo today which you can see below. The shot offers a first look at Jane, Aguilera and Allen in the film:
