Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer have become the latest, and first female, writers to join the ‘think tank’ devoted to expanding Paramount’s “Transformers” franchise with further sequels and spin-offs.
The pair join a group that includes Robert Kirkman (“The Walking Dead”), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (“Iron Man”), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (“Ant-Man”), Zak Penn (“Ready Player One”) and Jeff Pinkner (“Lost”). Akiva Goldsman leads the group which aims to have the fifth film’s script done soon and will follow that with multiple “Transformers” projects afterwards.
Hudson was recently announced as the writer of “The Fugitive” remake and has made it onto the annual Black List three times for three different scripts so far. Beer is attached to “Short Circuit” and “Wizard of Oz” remakes in the works, along with Disney’s adventure tale “Dig”.
It’s not known which film specifically the pair are working on at this point.
