Trailers: Fantastic, Duel, Wilderpeople, Florence

Bleeker Street has released the trailer for the Viggo Mortensen-led family drama “Captain Fantastic”. Set deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, isolated from society, a devoted father (Viggo Mortensen) dedicates his life to transforming his six young children into extraordinary adults. The film opens July 8th.

That isn’t the only preview release today with the trailer also out for Kieran Darcy-Smith’s western drama “The Duel”. Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Alice Braga, and Emory Cohen star in the film about a Texas Ranger (Hemsworth) who investigates a series of murders in a small town led by a charismatic preacher (Harrelson).

Next up, the U.S. trailer has been released for Taika Waititi’s new comedy “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” which is slated to open June 24th. The New Zealand film follows the story of the unlikely adventure that unfolds for the orphan Ricky and his Uncle Hec.

Finally there’s a new U.S. trailer for the Meryl Streep-led “Florence Foster Jenkins” which opens States-side on August 12th but has already begun opening in various international territories. Set in 1940s New York, Florence Foster Jenkins is the true story of the legendary New York heiress and socialite (Meryl Streep) who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great singer – even though she couldn’t hold a note.
