Several trailers have hit today for some key indie films on the way. First up, the Justin Long and Cobie Smulders-led romantic comedy “Literally, Right Before Aaron” which marks the directorial debut of “The Blacklist” star Ryan Eggold.
Long plays a man invited to his ex’s wedding and must confront his unresolved feelings and an uncertain future in hopes of convincing himself and everyone else that he is truly happy for her. Kristen Schaal, John Cho, Peter Gallagher and Charlotte McKinney co-star in the film which hits cinemas and VOD on September 29th.
Next up, the trailer for celebrated filmmaker Claire Denis’ “Bright Sunshine In” starring Juliette Binoche, Gérard Depardieu, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Xavier Beauvois. A loose adaptation of philosopher Roland Barthes’ “A Lover’s Discourse: Fragments,” the story follows a divorced, single mother, who searches for romantic and sexual fulfillment.
Finally comes the trailer for artist, activist and filmmaker Ai Weiwei’s documentary “Human Flow” which takes audiences around the world on the story of human migration as people cross deserts, seas, and more to find safety and shelter. The film hits cinemas October 13th.
