Trailer: Teresa Palmer In “Berlin Syndrome”

Australian filmmaker Cate Shortland (“Somersault”) returns with her new thriller “Berlin Syndrome” following its premiere at Sundance where the film famously broke down just ten minutes from the end.

Otherwise the movie scored good notices at the screening. Teresa Palmer (“Warm Bodies”) and Max Riemelt (“Sense8”) star in the story of a young Australian woman who travels to Berlin and falls in love with a German schoolteacer, only to discover the relationship has taken on a sinister edge and finds herself held prisoner in his locked apartment.

The film doesn’t have a U.S. release date yet, but Vertical Entertainment will release it theatrically ahead of Netflix who have acquired streaming rights.
