Comedians Steven Coogan and Paul Rudd have teamed up for something quite different, a dramedy about a modern family with them as the patriarchs.
The trailer is out for the Andrew Fleming-directed “Ideal Home” which stars the pair as Erasmus and Paul, a bickering gay couple whose lives are turned inside out when a ten-year-old boy shows up at their door claiming to be Erasmus’ grandson.
Neither is ready to give up their extravagant childless lifestyles to be parents, but the kid has a thing or two to teach them about the value of family. Rudd and Coogan previously worked together on “Our Idiot Brother” and “Night at the Museum”.
The film has yet to set a U.S. release date, but will open in Australia in June.
