Following rave reviews at SXSW, the out-of-nowhere low-budget sci-fi drama “Prospect” has finally released a trailer ahead of its opening in select cinemas in November.
The story follows a teenage girl (Sophie Thatcher) and her father (Pedro Pascal) who travel to a remote alien moon with a contract to harvest a large deposit of an in-demand mineral hidden in the depths of its toxic forest.
But there are other ruthless inhabitants roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight for survival, not helped by her father’s greed-addled judgment. Jay Duplass and Andre Royo co-star.
