Trailer: Jonathan Teplitzky’s “Churchill”

The first trailer has arrived for “The Railway Man” director Jonathan Teplitzky’s “Churchill”.

Set in June 1944, Brian Cox plays former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in his later years – a time when he must grapple with the life and death decisions behind the D-Day landing at Normandy.

Churchill, afraid of repeating the mass slaughter at Gallipoli in 1915 and exhausted by years of war, relies on the support of his unflappable wife Clementine (Miranda Richardson) to hold off his physical and mental collapse.

John Slattery, James Purefoy, Julian Wadham, Richard Durden, and Ella Purnell also star in the film which hits June 2nd in the United States and June 16th in the United Kingdom.
