Jai Courtney opts to try a more dramatic effort with David Levaux’s Nazi-themed romance drama “The Exception”.
Set in 1940, Christopher Plummer plays former German leader Kaiser Wilhelm II who is now effectively under house arrest. Courtney plays a German soldier who is assigned to guard him and weed out a British spy who has taken up residence within the household. He soon falls in love with a Jewish maid (Lily James). Janet McTeer, Eddie Marsan and Ben Daniels also star.
The film, which premiered in Toronto last year and got some tongues wagging as it boasts full frontal nudity from both Courtney and James, goes to DirecTV On Demand this Thursday ahead of a limited theatrical run on June 2nd.
