It turns out the first trailer for the sequel to “Zoolander” has already premiered online. This first look at the comedy sequel showed up on Youtube last night for all of a few minutes before being pulled by the studio.
It was on long enough though that a description is out which says it begins with a journey through the cosmos while a Stephen Hawking soundalike provides voiceover.
The shot then arrives in the brain of Derek Zealander who is considering things such as orange mocha Frappucinos and hairdryers before asking the big question – “If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?”
Stiller, who directs from a script he wrote with Justin Theroux, returns as the dim male model alongside Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell and Christine Taylor reprising their roles from the 2001 original. It is scheduled to open early next year.
