Trailer: Ethan Hawke In “Born To Be Blue”

The first trailer has been released for “Born To Be Blue,” the upcoming biopiv about the famed 1950s trumpeter Chet Baker (played by Ethan Hawke) who was a pioneer of the West Coast jazz scene. Years of heroin addiction took its toll and by the 1960s, his career was nearly destroyed.

Robert Budreau penned and directed the project which is set in a key moment in Baker’s life during the 1960s, just as the musician attempts to stage a hard-fought comeback which has been spurred on in part by a passionate romance with a new flame (Carmen Ejogo). The film opens in cinemas March 25th and then VOD on March 31st.
