Netflix has unveiled the trailer for “Selma” and “A Wrinkle in Time” director Ava DuVernay’s four-part Netflix narrative mini-series “When They See Us” which is slated to premiere on May 31st.

“When They See Us” deals with the real-life teens and adults at the center of the true story Central Park Five case in which five teenagers of color were convicted of a rape they did not commit. The series will span from the incident in Spring 1989 to their exoneration in 2002 and settlement in 2014.

DuVernay co-wrote and directed the four parts and executive produces alongside Jeff Skoll, Jonathan King, Oprah Winfrey, Jane Rosenthal, Berry Welsh and Robert De Niro.
