If there’s one thing that’s overdue right now, it’s the title for the next “Star Wars” movie.
Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: Episode VIII” is currently well into post-production ahead of its release a year from now. There’s been plenty of speculation as to what the real title of the film will be, but there’s still no confirmation of any of the rumored possibilities to have sprung up so far.
Today, AVS Forum (via CBM) have suggested in a report that Lucasfilm has apparently submitted a title to the European Union Intellectual Property Office for the next movie. What is it? “Star Wars: Forces of Destiny”.
It true that’s a new title, one not previously rumored. The site indicates it’s also a very comprehensive filing, one which covers everything from toys to clothing with a list of potential items over 2000 words long.
Whatever the film ends up being called, it is currently slated for a December 2017 release.
