Funko has offered a first look at Kurt Russell’s Ego the Living Planet character from James Gunn’s upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” from Marvel Studios. Check out the images below:
The character has yet to be revealed in any photo or trailer, so these Funko pop and Dorbz figures are our first real glimpse of him. In the comics, Ego the Living Planet looks like a planet but in the film he has taken human form though as he reveals he’s obviously not human.
In related news, Karen Gillan confirmed to the BBC that along with her work in the “Jumanji” remake and reprising the role of Nebula in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” she also will reprise the latter role in a side project: “I’ll be making a little appearance in the next Avengers movies.”
She also discussed more about what is happening with her character in the second “Guardians” film:
“What I love about the second movie for Nebula in particular is that we get – We know that she’s a pretty angry woman with some daddy issues. [But] in the second movie, we’re going to start to see how much pain her father actually caused her, and we’re going to delve right into the relationship with her sister Gamora. I think we might even feel a tinge of sympathy towards Nebula this time, because we really start to see the emotional crack in her character. I was just allowed to completely explore that and take it to a completely different dimension with her. I was really happy about that.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” hits cinemas May 5th.
