Tower Heist Goes On Demand Quickly

Brett Ratner’s upcoming comedy “Tower Heist”, starring Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy, will be made available on-demand just three weeks after its November 4th theatrical debut.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Universal will make the film available to 500,000 of its parent company Comcast’s digital cable subscribers in two mid-size markets – Atlanta and Portland. The price to watch the film at home is steep though – $59.99.

The move is being seen as an experiment with Universal watching whether box office receipts fall off in those cities as compared with cities of similar size.
